5 of 5 Versatile January 18, 2025

If the only thing this bar could do was seal rows it would totally be worth it. Seal rows on it are awesome. I also think overhead pressing with it is really good. The bar path doesn’t involve your head so it kinda forces you to execute the rep in a more mechanically sound way. I really enjoy the viking press with it. Benching with it is also nice. Curls with it are kinda awkward but I find if I take a staggered stance with my legs I can do full range of motion curls. You can also do plenty of tricep exercises with it. One of my end caps was damaged in shipping but it’s not a big deal. Highly recommend this bar.

5 of 5 Very versatile bar September 26, 2024
Reviewer: Gary from Pflugerville, TX United States
This bar is a great addition to my gym. I really like the open space between the handles for doing skull crushers. I get a greater range of motion and also a lot less chance to hit myself in the head. I got the knurl option and it has been great. I also really like that there are two handles, but you can also grab this bar in a few different other areas for even more variety. My only improvement suggestion is that it would be nice if the handle spacing gap was wider, or if that was an option you could specify when ordering. I am a little too wide to be able do hammer curls pulling my hands to me sides by like an inch or two. Small suggestion but this bar is really great.

5 of 5 One of a Kind! August 22, 2024

This bar is truly unique, with excellent knurling that's a must-have. I highly recommend it for those seeking the best Viking press barbell. It feels amazing for Viking presses, offering a simpler alternative to the tedious landmine setup. The VHS bar makes it easier to calculate your lifting strength by just adding weight plates and doing bar math. While I prefer using it for triceps bench pressing, I have other barbells for traditional chest presses. It performs phenomenally for seal rows on a Sorrinex or Hydra pad but won't clear a standard rep utility bench unless customized. It also works well for bent-over rows. I love this bar and use it weekly during shoulder days, rotating it for chest-supported seal rows and triceps presses. If you want a versatile bar that can do it all, this is the one for you.

5 of 5 Feels good in the hands July 29, 2024
Reviewer: Sheel Patel from Orlando, FL United States
The VHS bar feels great in the hands. Thick and grippy. Versatile as I use it for overhead press, bench press, hammer curls and seal rows so far. Glad I sold the  cambered multigrip bars that I previously owned and replaced it with the VHS bar. Dean is very pleasant to work with and being a one-man gang he is still very responsive in answering messages/emails. I will purchase again from black widow

5 of 5 Super versatile bar May 22, 2024

Dean helped me come up with the final design after a lot of back and forth. I do not know of another open Swiss bar like this. The YT video speaks for itself on how much this bar can offer for exercises potentials. I have the original bar, it weighs 37 pounds, super sturdy, knurling feels very good. Check out my YT video on this site. I did miss that this bar is good for spider curl bars on a seal row pad for even an adjustable bench.
Yes, you should get one.
