Superior craftsmanship

Granted I had to wait quite a while to receive this bar. However, the wait was worth it. Dean leaves nothing to chance in the manufacturing of his products. This is my second purchase from Black Widow Training Gear and I am more than happy with both purchases. This Angled Swiss bar arrived in flawless condition. I went with the knurled grips and they feel fantastic. Many Swiss bars don't offer knurled grips, so I was happy that this bar had that option. It was well packaged, not a scratch or ding on this bar. I bought this bar because of a rotator cuff surgery, a result of benching with a straight bar for 48 years. Currently in PT from the surgery, I'm chomping at the bit to start benching and overhead pressing with this bar. The handle angles are perfect for reducing stress on the shoulder joint. Dean is a perfectionist, and I respect that, it shows in the craftsmanship of his products. If you're in the market for a solid, beautifully constructed Swiss bar, stop looking, this is the one! Be prepared to wait though for your product to arrive. More and more people are seeing and hearing about the quality of Black Widow Training Gear. This is causing an overwhelming number of orders being placed. But be patient, the wait is well worth it.

Excellent barbell, custom-made fast!

I purchased these bars with a custom modification to fit standard 1" plates. All my questions were answered and I placed the order with the expectoration that I'd receive the bars after Christmas. I got them in November and they are straight, rock-solid, with excellent powder coat and welds. Shipping was very fast and packaging was excellent.

I plan to buy from Black Widow again. I'm always happy to buy a quality product from a real craftsman.

Angled grip press bar

Great website layout, easy to navigate. Bar is very well made, solid and had a nice finish on it. Will use black widow again for lifting products.

Top Notch Bar!

Truly exemplary craftsmanship. Perfectly balanced. Beautiful, durable matte powder coating, which is grippy as heck itself, but it arrived with unexpected knurling, which was a great surprise. Lifting gloves stick to the handles like Velcro. Slim profile is excellent. Plenty space for hands and less unnecessary room to cause tipping or chin banging when shoulder pressing.

I asked to chop down the sleeves to 10 inches since I'm only using cast iron plates and work out in a small space. I wish I asked to move the sleeve stop rings closer to the center and to cut down the sleeves even further since there is some unnecessary space in the racking portion that you'll never use since the body of the bar prevents racking that far to the side anyway. Ce la vie. Can't go wrong with this bar.
